For online video poker nz and mobile video poker, Blackjack, online pokies and everything else to do with online gambling New Zealand players have trusted JackpotCity Casino since 1998. Our casino continues to break new ground and stay ahead of the pack, including with live dealer games like Ultimate Texas Hold’em.
Why We Chose Evolution Gaming
With the most gorgeous and expert dealers, high payouts, game-enhancing special features and a wide range of betting options Evolution Gaming has been the live software industry leader for years. They were the obvious answer when it came to deciding who would supply our online casino with live Ultimate Texas Hold’em and other games. To make this Poker version even better, they collaborated with the talented team from Scientific Games.
Why Live Poker is Special
All live dealer casino games are authentic and immersive, and make you feel as if you’re sitting in a real-life gambling destination even as you are in the comfort of your own living room. Poker works especially well because you get to interact with other players in the way that you can in land-based games, while keeping things simpler because you are only going against the dealer and not a host of bluffing tablemates.
You can enjoy an engaging game while developing your skills in slightly easier surroundings, and being in line to win great payouts. And when you do it at JackpotCity, our superb software, bonuses and overall service give you everything you could wish for when playing at a casino online.
Playing Live Ultimate Texas Hold’em
The game follows the same basic structure as the original, but it is between 2 hands only. A single 52-card deck is used and the first thing you need to do is place a Blind and an Ante wager. After this, you and the dealer each get 2 cards.
There are 5 community cards that are dealt in 2 stages, and these are ultimately added to your hole cards to determine the best Poker hand combination using any 5 of the 7 cards. The first 3 community cards are dealt after you’ve gotten your hole cards, in a stage called the Flop.
You can make a Play bet after you’ve seen your cards but before the Flop, after the Flop but before the remaining 2 community cards are dealt, or after you’ve seen the last 2 community cards. There are more risks and higher stakes the earlier you do it, but higher corresponding payouts.
If you don’t place a Play bet at your final opportunity, you’ll have to Fold and lose everything you put down. At the end of the round, your best hole-and-community-card combination is compared with that of the dealer.
Payouts in Ultimate Texas Hold’em
For the dealer hand to qualify so that things proceed and the hands are actually compared, they need to hold a Pair or higher. If the game does go on and you win, your Ante and Play wagers are returned 1:1 while your Blind is paid out according to our paytable. If you lose you forfeit everything, and a tie causes all bets to push.
Add Even More Excitement with the Trips Side Bet
Because we always love giving our players extra perks, we’re especially happy with the Trips side wager in our live Ultimate Texas Hold’em casino games. If you take this option, the combination of cards used in the final hand has to be both of your hole cards and 3 community cards.
Anything from Three of a Kind and higher gets you a tidy return, no matter what happens in the main game. The Trips bet definitely adds more intrigue and entertainment value though we have to say that there is plenty of that at these live Poker tables already!
